Siena’s iconic main square. Take in the view, stroll the surrounding streets, or pause for lunch, coffee, or gelato.

Palazzo Pubblico & Civic Museum

Inside the medieval town hall, visit the historic government rooms and frescoes.

Torre del Mangia

The tower beside the Palazzo offers panoramic views over Siena.

Duomo di Siena

The cathedral’s striped marble interior is a highlight. Its remarkable inlaid marble floor is scheduled to be uncovered during our September 16 visit.

Museo dell’Opera del Duomo & Facciatone

The museum holds art and sculpture made for the cathedral. The Facciatone viewpoint is reached through the museum and looks over Siena and the Tuscan countryside.

Santa Maria della Scala

Across from the Duomo, this vast former medieval hospital is now a museum. A good alternative if you’d like art and history without a tower climb.
